Four healthy meal plans for Ramadan in the UAE

With Ramadan fast approaching, many will be making their final preparations before the holy month begins.

And for those who are fasting, there are plenty of options across the UAE to make evening meal planning a little easier.

Some of the many meal plan services in the UAE will modify their menus to offer healthy, balanced and nutritious plans designed for those who are fasting.

Many packages will offer meals for iftar and suhoor, as well as snacks to keep diners going, and deliver all dishes directly to your door each day.

It is also possible to select the number of calories customers wish to consume each day, specify their dietary needs and choose the duration of the meal plan, with many programs offering programs from one week to one month.

Right bite

Throughout the holy month, Right Bite will be offering meal plans that will give people the option of opting for combined iftar or iftar and suhoor packages. The meal plan service gives customers the ability to choose how many calories they want for their meals, as well as how long they want the meal plan for. During Ramadan, the minimum duration is 10 days.

Included for iftar are the dates for breaking the fast, a drink, a soup, a main dish and a side dish. For suhoor, there will be a variety of sweet and savory dishes, including full-fat manakeesh zaatar served with low-fat labneh and fetid moudamas served with whole-grain pita bread.

The iftar-only package starts at Dh850 for 10 days, while the iftar and suhoor package starts at Dh1,210.

Dishes will include meat and vegetables.

There’s also the Life Plan, which will feature the same number of daily dishes, but will cater to a more varied diet and include healthy, nutrient-dense options.

Both plans cost Dh99 per day, although discounts of up to 15% apply for those who sign up for five days or more. The maximum duration that diners can sign up for is 30 days, and it’s possible to choose whether or not weekends are included in the plan.

Eat mindfully
