AI tech company Nala Robotics signs expansion deal with pizza chain Slice Factory
Under the terms of the agreement, Nala Robotics will custom design and install Pizzaiola at new Slice Factory sites to help fuel national expansion efforts. The pizza chain, which operates 12 locations in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, has developed an aggressive expansion plan relying heavily on Nala Robotics technology and automation expertise. The flexibility of the fully automated robot chef will be able to cook Slice Factory’s 28-inch jumbo slice and various Chicago-style stuffed pizzas, as well as serve the restaurant chain’s popular pasta dishes and an assortment of chicken wings. chicken.

To ensure efficiency, the robotic operating system monitors more than 1,200 parameters every microsecond, ranging from the robot’s field of vision and food quality to the point of sale. Once the pizza order is placed, Pizzaiola selects, presses and stretches the dough, adds the sauce, cheese and toppings, then bakes, slices and wraps the pizza according to the customer’s preferences. Pizzaiola will also be able to fulfill online orders and individual jumbo slices that can be scheduled for pickup at the chain’s flagship Slice Thru drive-thru within minutes of ordering.
